Maddie Poppe nominated for People’s Choice Award

American idol and Iowa native Maddie Poppe is one of 12 nominees competing for the title of 'The Competition Contestant of 2018” at the People's Choice Awards.

Can she snag these votes the same way she did while on 'American Idol”?

Poppe won the singing competition in May 2018 and is now on tour with the other top seven artists of the season.

Among the nominees is also Adam Rippon, who visited Cedar Rapids this summer for his appearance at newbo evolve.

The top five finalists for each category will be revealed on September 24 and polls will open for the second round of voting.

A maximum of 25 votes per category is allowed per day.

Voting can be done at pca.eonline.com. The awards will air on November 11 on E!.
