Best Bets: The Cinematic Orchestra

The Cinematic Orchestra has always defied category and convention. It's been 12 years since the ensemble, led by Jason Swinscoe and Dom Smith, released a studio album. In 2007, 'Ma Fleur” was recognized for its bold departure from the group's sonic traditions. It's been continuously celebrated, with tracks like 'To Build A Home” spilling out of televisions, cinemas and radios long after its release. The band's new album explores the timeless question: What to believe? This fall, audiences will hear the seven-piece band's electronic live arrangements on its first U.S. tour in more than a decade.
