In Washington, Iowa, history teacher Michael Zahs uncovers the century-old show reels of one of America's first motion picture impresarios, and sets out to premiere the films at the world's oldest continuously operating movie theater. That was the initial focus of the 90-minute documentary, 'Saving Brinton,” but it soon shifted to Zahs, known all over Iowa for his history presentations, including the rare collection of 130 early nitrate films amassed by itinerant showman William Franklin Brinton. Andrew Sherburne, one of the directors, and Zahs will introduce the film.
