Best Bets: Memorial Day swimming
Jump into summer Memorial Day weekend at the Noelridge Aquatic Center. Lap swims will be held from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. each day, with open swims from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and 1 to 5 p.m. Monday. A 'kickoff” swim will be held at all outdoor Cedar Rapids municipal pools June 1, with lap swims from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. ($4.75 or pass) and open swims from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. ($5 or pass). Regular season begins at all pools on June 2. Marion's pool opens May 28.
