Best Bets: Cemetery Walk
Tis the season to tour a cemetery and learn about the lives of people who are buried in Johnson County. Tours will begin every 30 minutes at Ridgewood Cemetery in North Liberty. Bring a flashlight; lights will be at every grave and with every tour guide, but the majority of the event is held after dark. The last tour begins at 7:30 p.m. An additional tour features local Grave Topics instructor Laurie Taylor speaking on headstone symbols. It will last 15 to 20 minutes, beginning at the old cemetery gate up on the hill. Rain date: Oct. 21 or 28.
