Best Bet: FRYfest

Celebrate all things Hawkeye on FRYday, day before the Iowa Hawkeyes kick off the football season. Activities include a blood drive, Hawkeye collector's showcase and trade show, panel discussions, Hall of Fame Class of 2019 activities and autographs, Hawkeye trivia challenge, bags tournament, pep rally and High Porch Picnic Block Party. Admission is free to the Exhibit Hall and trade show, and $5 for adults/free ages 12 and under for the High Porch Block Party, which includes a kids' zone, games, beverage garden, a concert by City Park opening for the Spazmatics, winding up with fireworks at 10 p.m.
