ZAINE A. STEVENS-TALLEY
Marion
Zaine A. Stevens-Talley, 26 years old, born May 10, 1994, our son, grandson, brother, nephew, uncle and cousin passed this week. The family will greet friends from noon till 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, Iowa. A Celebration of Life service will begin at
2 p.m. at the funeral home on Tuesday. All guests are respectfully requested to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
He is the son of Jennifer (Robert) and Anton; brother to MacKenzie, Hunter and Mekaylah; grandson of Joyce and John (deceased) Talley, Trish and Charles Tucker, Lil and David Stanton, and George Stevens Jr.; nephew to Joy, Deanne, John, Tamra and Linnie; and Zaine's extended family and friends too numerous to name them all.
Zaine was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and lived in Marion, Iowa, graduating from Linn-Mar High School and the College of Engineering at Iowa State University. He was employed at John Deere.
Zaine's greatest love was his Grandma Joyce. Their baking adventures, flaming tennis balls and interesting driving lessons! Yes, I could go on about these two partners in crime! Zaine's inquisitive mind started early so it wasn't a surprise for his home away from home to be at RMPL at ISU. Zaine felt very fortunate to research and study under Dr. Frank. This research lab was his happy place, plus the amazing friends and many shenanigans had.
Zaine lived his life with a serious passion. All the adventures with friends and family, he made us all smile and laugh; Zaines wit and that grin. You knew it was go time for an absolute enjoyable day. Get your fishing gear, your RC car, truck or boat. We will miss that handsome face with the kindest, biggest heart you've ever known. We love you Zainer!
Zaine encountered and befriended many from the states and throughout the world. They had a profound impact on him. Our family has established the Zaine A. Stevens-Talley Memorial Scholarship. This STEM scholarship is for those fulfilling their dream of being the next amazing innovator. Donations may be directed to J.K. Robison, 1317 Seventh Ave., Suite 210, Marion, IA 52302.
Please share a memory of Zaine at www.murdochfuneralhome.com under obituaries.
