Western Dubuque's big 4th quarter downs Davenport Assumption, 58-46 (live)

DES MOINES - This should be a good one. It's a Class 3A state basketball tournament quarterfinal between fourth-ranked Davenport Assumption (21-3) and No. 5 Western Dubuque (22-2). Assumption has won 17 games in a row, Western Dubuque 16.
Here are the starting lineups:
Assumption - Nick Schebler (6-2, junior) 6.3 ppg; Matt Vonderhaar (6-3, junior) 8.4 ppg; Peter Finn (5-11, senior) 12.5 ppg; Derek Fulton (6-2, senior) 8.7 ppg; Billy Daniel (6-5 junior) 15.2 ppg).
Western Dubuque - Logan Pitz (6-1, senior) 7.2 ppg; T.J. Lake (5-11, junior) 17.4 ppg; Brendan McCoy (6-1, junior) 6.5 ppg; Cameron James (6-4, senior) 13.0 ppg; Hunter Westhoff (6-3, senior) 4.5 ppg.
First-Half Updates
A 6-0 run midway through the first quarter helped WD to a 15-12 lead after a quarter. James a definite factor inside for WD with 8 first-quarter points. Daniel had 6 for Assumption. WD Coach Dennis Geraghty said pregame he was a definite concern for his club.
It's a 26-22 Assumption lead at halftime. WD seemed to gain a big advantage when Assumption's top two leading scorers (Daniel and Finn) picked up their second fouls midway through the quarter. But Assumption scored seven of the final nine points in the quarter to pull ahead.
Schebler has been huge for the Knights, with 10 points. James did not score a point in the second quarter for WD after eight first-quarter points.
Western Dubuque shot just 32 percent from the field in the first half to Assumption's 40 percent. Assumption has a huge edge in rebounds, 23-12. A key thus far.
Second-Half Updates
Assumption got the first points of the quarter for a game-high six-point lead, but WD went on a 10-0 run to take a 34-33 lead late. Pitz with the transition layup. A Vonderhaar layup inside gave Assumption back the lead, 35-34, heading to the fourth.
It's been the Pitz-and-Lake Show thus far in the fourth for WD. They have eight points combined that have given WD a 42-37 lead with 5:41 left.
A 12-0 run by WD untied a 37-37 game midway through the quarter. Lake had every one of those 12 points. With 3:12 left, WD had all of its points from 3 guys (Lake, Pitz and Cameron James). Then Dylan James (Cameron's brother) converted and an-one three-point play that put his club up 52-39.
