Numerous animals have been seized from a Buchanan County residence.
According to a press release from the Buchanan County Sheriff's Office, deputies served a search warrant at 2382 Quasqueton Diagonal Blvd., a residence southeast of Independence. The residence is owned by 74-year-old James H. Hansen.
Police said they seized numerous horses, calves and rabbits from the residence with the help of local veterinary service officials.
