Tim Hobart White, 76, of Cedar Rapids, passed away March 30, 2021, in his home from natural causes.
Tim was born Sept. 9, 1944, in Webster City, Iowa. After graduating from Webster City High School, Tim served his country in the Navy aboard the USS Ranger during the Vietnam War. He was married to his wife Danona for 52 years. Tim worked in a number of industries ranging from barbering to car sales until he retired. His hobbies included hunting, bowling and golf.
Tim was well-loved by his family and friends. He enjoyed a good joke and over the years his many Dad jokes turned into Papa jokes for his grandkids. More recently, he impressed us all with his brave and successful battle with lung cancer.
Tim leaves his wife, Danona; daughter, Teresa Langer and her husband, Michael; son, Charles White; grandchildren, Josephine Risinger and husband, Casey, Elizabeth Langer, Caine White, Owen Langer and Phoebe Langer; and great-grandchildren, Noah White and Dallas Risinger.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Chester and Kathryn White; and siblings, Rita and David White.
There will be a memorial service from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 23, at Faith Bible Church, 1800 46th St, NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402.
