Police discovered an active meth lab in a parked car on Monday.
According to criminal complaints, Cedar Rapids police officers were called to a parking lot at 2663 Mount Vernon Rd. SE for a report of people acting erratically. Police spoke with the three subjects and found all of them to be in possession of items used to manufacture meth.
Police also found an active meth lab in the car, according to court documents.
Records indicated that all three subjects had been making multiple pseudoephedrine purchases. Pseudoephedrine is used in the manufacturing of meth.
The suspects are 26-year-old Allison L. Miller, of Marion; 22-year-old Andrew M. Simmons, of Cedar Rapids; and 22-year-old Skylar J. Smith, of Mount Vernon. All three of them face two counts of possession of precursors, one count of possession with intent to manufacture meth and one count of possession of meth.
