This morning's task: Finding a whistle for the ref

I'm volunteering at the Senior Olympics at Coe College this morning and one of the referees needed a whistle.
Other volunteers suggested that somebody should run to Hy-Vee to buy one. Volunteer and Metro North Rotarian Katie Johnson suggested that there might be one in the building.
So, I went off to find one.
I went to the training room. They didn't have one. The swimming pool was next. Frank Morosky, an aquaintance and who was officiating the swim meet, was standing there, with a whistle around his neck.
"Hey, Frank, do you have a second whistle I can borrow."
He didn't but let me borrow the one around his neck.
He said he could just use the speakers.
On my way, I ran into a Coe coach who said he could also loan me a whistle.
The ref now got her whistle. Problem solved.
