Susan Alleda (Olmsted) Stookey was born March 7, 1947, to Helen (Mather Olmsted) Eye and Harold Olmsted. Sue graduated from Washington High School in 1965, married Ron Stookey on June 21, 1968, and graduated from University of Northern Iowa in 1969. She opened antique stores in Valley Junction and grew her event promotions business.
Sue passed Feb. 13, 2024, after a long journey with Alzheimer's. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ron Stookey; daughter, Joanna (Stookey) Walker/son-in-law Shayne Walker; son, Mark Stookey/daughter-in-law Nico Stookey; grandkids, Owen & Taylor Walker, and Ayla & Frankie Stookey; and stepmother, Ada Olmsted.
