The approval rating for President Barack Obama has rebounded to 48 percent in a new Iowa Poll, up 3 percentage points from September.
The Des Moines Register's poll also says his disapproval rating of 47 percent is down a few points.
The poll of 800 Iowa adults was conducted by Selzer & Co., Feb. 13-16. Its margin of error is plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.
A national Gallup Poll taken the same week shows 48 percent approval for the president, 43 percent disapproval.
Obama's Iowa approval rating was 68 percent when he took office more than two years ago.
Among Iowa independents, Obama's approval rating in the poll has risen to 46 percent. That's 4 points higher than September and 8 points higher than a year ago.
