By Cheryl Hinrichsen: I just finished registering for fall classes at Scott Community College in Davenport when one of the women who waited on me said, "Did you know that a plane just flew into the World Trade Center in New York City?" I told her: "No, I didn't hear 'bout it."
I didn't think twice about it when the woman told me, so I proceeded to go down to the cafeteria, where all I saw was people looking at the TV monitors. I saw the second plane flying into the second tower.
The first thing to come across my mind was someone from another country had plotted another attack on America. I was devastated!! All I could think of was all the people in the buildings.
