Sharon Schneider, born and raised Cedar Rapids by Ray and Josephine Barker, passed away on June 13th, 2024, after a 34 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. A graveside service will take place Tuesday, June 18, 2024, 11:00 am, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Never one to be defined by her illness, Sharon fought silently while she brought light and joy to all her met her. She was a proud member of The Band of Blue and shined in her contributions to the choir. Sharon loved long drives in her red convertible, attending concerts with her son, Travis, spending time at her vacation home along Cedar River, being very active in her class reunion committee, and many loving date nights with her loving husband.
Sharon is survived by her devoted life partner, Jeff, her first son, John and his wife, Rosemary, her granddaughter, Charlotte, and her youngest son, Travis and his husband, Jamie, as well as her sisters, Jenny Lynne, and Karolyn.
Never wanting to see us saddened, she would simply remind us all that she “had the time of her life”
In lieu of flowers, please send all memorial donations to Temple Judah, Cedar Rapids.
