Lisbon has set a school record for victories, winning nine of its last 10. The team is led by all-state guard Ben Knake, who averages 20.1 points per game. Many members of the basketball team played on a state championship football team this fall. Lisbon has never qualified for the state basketball tourney. North Linn was last there in 1977.
CLASS 2A SUBSTATE FINALS
Cascade (20-4) vs. North Cedar (18-5)
Where: Maquoketa

In NC's 50-42 district final win over No. 8 Monticello, he had 20 points and 21 boards. Led by Hall of Fame Coach Al Marshall, Cascade will slow tempo and rely on an aggressive 2-3 zone defense. Timmie Kleitsch is the lone double-figure scorer, and that's at just 10.2 ppg. Cascade avenged one of its four regular-season losses by beating Dyersville Beckman in a district semifinal.
