Sandberg to manage I-Cubs

The Des Moines Register is reporting that Chicago Cubs Hall of Famer Ryne Sandberg will manage the Triple-A Iowa Cubs the 2010 baseball season.
Sandberg skippered Double-A Tennessee this past season. He managed the Peoria Chiefs of the Midwest League in 2007 and 2008.
“I've been very pleased with the progression,” Sandberg told the Register. “Getting closer to the major leagues is very gratifying. I'm looking at this as another stepping stone.”
