RoughRiders say 2,400 pounds of food donated

The special food drive the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders conducted at last weekend's regular-season finale brought in 2,395 pounds of non-perishable food items. They go to the HACAP Food Reservoir of Eastern Iowa.
"We were certainly overwhelmed by the generosity our fans showed by bringing their food donations over the last couple of weeks," said Riders Director of Corporate Partnerships Mark Meyer.
Fans who donated food could buy their game tickets last weekend for $5.
