Riders' Hohmann commits to Boston U.

Forward Cason Hohmann of the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders has given a verbal commitment to play college hockey in 2011 for defending national champion Boston University.
Hohmann, 16, will be in his first season for the Riders, who host the "Battle of Iowa" preseason tournament Saturday and Sunday at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena.
The 5-foot-8, 165-pounder played Midget hockey last year for Compuware in the Detroit area.
