Reverend Jon Charles Moss, 70, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics MICU in Iowa City, Iowa, after a short illness resulting from complications of decompensated NASH. The family is grateful for the kind and compassionate care received from UnityPoint-St. Luke’s Hospital and UIHC staff. A Memorial Service will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 1, 2023, at Marion Methodist Church, with Pastor Mike Morgan officiating. The service will be live streamed at: https://marionmethodist.org/watch-live/. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.
Jon is survived by his wife of almost 49 years, Sharon Moss, and two daughters, Angela and Sarah.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother.
Jon was an advocate of local missions and, in lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate you directing memorial gifts to your home church or food pantries in your community.
