By Nick Cox: I remember where I was on 9/11/2001. I was on the job, roofing in Rock Island, Ill.
I went down the ladder to go to the bathroom, and I heard on a truck's radio that a plane flew into the World Trade Center. I thought for a minute, what is going on? But on our way home to Cedar Rapids, the radio confirmed this incident.
Gas stations were packed, at some the line was blocks long to get gas. I remember getting home, and every cable channel was broadcasting the attack.
