Qualifications and actions make DeSantis the right choice for POTUS

Ron DeSantis is the right man for the highest office in the land.

After meeting all, and I mean all, of the presidential candidates on the GOP side, I can fervently say that Ron DeSantis is the only one with the experience, fortitude, knowledge, and character to be Iowa’s choice for President of the United States.

He’s also the first candidate on the GOP side in more than a generation to have small children and wife, who he loves deeply and who is also ideologically aligned with him. With the recent stories of moral turpitude in parts of the GOP nationally (and even in neighboring states), we need to lift up someone who believes in being a faithful husband and father.

We also need someone who has built coalitions with other governors, including our own, to see states regain their footing from the currently out of control federal leviathan.

Lastly, the former president, also currently running, is a drag on our down ballot hopes. The lack of a red wave in all but a few states, namely Iowa and Florida, last November has shown that we need to move on from the nearly octogenarian former NYC salesman and move toward a man who has chosen to live a life of service in the military, as a principled U.S. House member, and now as the most effective Republican executive in generations.

I urge all Iowa GOP caucus goers to caucus and support Ron DeSantis for president next January 15th.
