C.R. WASHINGTON 10, C.R. XAVIER 1 - Chad Christensen had two hits at the plate, and struck out six on the mound as Washington took the first game. Zach Rogers also had two hits Warriors.
C.R. WASHINGTON 4, C.R. XAVIER 0 - Dakota Freese tossed a complete game shutout, striking out four, to complete the sweep for Washington (8-3, 5-1 MVC). Xavier dropped to 2-8 overall, 0-6 in the MVC.
C.R. KENNEDY 6, C.R. PRAIRIE 2 - Griffen Michael hit a two run homer in the third and and added another RBI while Ryan Dusil went 2-for-3 and a run for Kennedy (9-2, 5-0 MVC). Anthony Gagiardi hit a two run homerun in the fourth inning for Prairie (6-3, 4-1 MVC).
IOWA CITY HIGH 8, C.R. JEFFERSON 7 - Iowa City High used a six-run seventh inning to overtake Jefferson. Joby Frey had two hits and drove in two runs for Jefferson (7-3, 4-2 MVC), while Jason McCormack added a three-run home run.
SOLON 10, DYERSVILLE BECKMAN 5 - Brandon Chulista (4-0) pitched a complete game striking out nine. Ben Weeks had a two- run home and a two run double going 3-for-4 with five RBI. Tyler Smith went 2-for-4 and had a three-RBI double for visiting Solon.
SOLON 10 , DYERSVILLE BECKMAN 4 - Ben Bergman pitched complete game striking out 16 and giving up 4 hits. Cody Strang went 3-for-4 with four RBI for Solon (9-3, 6-0 Wamac).
LINN-MAR 9, IOWA CITY WEST 3 - Ben Strellner pitched a complete game giving up five hits and striking out eight while Kyle Duggan went 4-for-4 with two RBI for host Linn-Mar. Iowa City West's Josh DeBoer hit a two-run homer.
IOWA CITY WEST 9, LINN-MAR 7 - In an eight inning game Joe Rachke went 3-for-4 with one run and Neal Madsen went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer for Iowa City West. Mitch Mahmens hit a two-run triple and Jarred Teakell went 2-for-4 with one RBI for Linn-Mar (5-5, 4-2 MVC).
MARION 12, CLEAR CREEK AMANA 10 - Pat Tiernan hit a grand-slam home run to complete a five-run seventh inning to win it for Marion.
MARION 8, CLEAR CREEK AMANA 2 -
Matt Barnd pitched a complete-game, scatterong four hits and striking out nine as Marion (4-6) completed the sweep.
MOUNT VERNON 7, DEWITT CENTRAL 6 - Matt Winder went 2-for-3 with two RBI including the game winner in the sixth for host Mount Vernon. Greg Oldsen hit two solo homers for DeWitt (11-2, 4-2 Wamac).
MOUNT VERNON 2, DEWITT CENTRAL 1 - Mike Kray pitched a complete game striking out eight and Lef Jeppson had a solo homerun for Mount Vernon (8-4, 4-2 Wamac).
STARMONT 10, NORTH LINN 0 - Doug Meyer tossed a complete-game one-hitter, striking out nine, to lead Starmont.
NORTH LINN 5, STARMONT 3 - Griffin Humphreys had two hits and drove in three runs for North Linn (6-1).
C.R. JEFFERSON 9, IOWA CITY HIGH 2 - At City High, Kellen Sweeney had two hits, including a three-run homer, and Matt Beer improved to 3-0 as Jefferson took the first game.
EAST BUCHANAN 6, CENTRAL CITY 0 - Jordan Gerbracht threw a four-hit shutout for East Buchanan.
CENTRAL CITY 6, EAST BUCHANAN 4 - Jacob Eaton had two hits, including an RBI triple, while Sean Brandhorst drove in three to lead Central City (2-2).
