KENNEDY 7, I.C. HIGH 2 - Bryan Bruner had three hits and drove in three runs, while Michael Griffen added 2 hits and two RBIs, as Kennedy topped City High in the first game. Adam Prybil and John Chelf each had RBI hits for City High.

KENNEDY 9, I.C. HIGH 4 - Andy Petersen had two hits, drove in a run, and stole home to lead Kennedy in the second game. Griffin Michael drove in three runs as Kennedy improved to 6-1, while Adam Prybil had three hits and scored two runs for City High (0-6).

C.R. JEFFERSON 11-2, DUBUQUE SENIOR 8-1: Jason McCormick hit a three-run home run in the fourth inning of the first game to lead Cedar Rapids Jefferson to the sweep at Dubuque.

NORTH LINN 9, MIDLAND 5 - Tanner Pase struck out seven in three innings of relief for the win, while Mike Meisheid and Matt Supple had back-to-back base hits to spark a four-run seventh for North Linn (4-0).

C.R. PRAIRIE 13, WATERLOO EAST 3 - At Prairie, Dustin Spaw struck out 10 in five innings of work, and added a two-run home run to pace Prairie. Anthony Gagliardi hit a grand-slam home run to cap the first game.

C.R. PRAIRIE 6, WATERLOO EAST 4 - Cole Schulte had two hits and drove in three runs as Prairie (2-3) completed the sweep.

WATERLOO WEST 5, IOWA CITY WEST 4 - Josh DeBoer had two doubles and an RBI, while Sean Moore added three hits with two doubles for Iowa City West.

WATERLOO WEST 5, IOWA CITY WEST 4 - Sean Moore, Nate Ewing, Josh DeBoer, and Ryan Rumpf each had two hits for Iowa City West (2-6, 0-2)

SOLON 14, ANAMOSA 0 (5) - Cody Strang hit a three-run home run in the first inning for Solon, while Tyler Smith added a two-run double and Derrick Loveless added two hits and three RBIs.

SOLON 11, ANAMOSA 0 (5) - Derrick Loveless hit a three-run home run in the third inning, Shawn Olson added a two-run home run in the fourth for Solon (5-1, 3-0).
