Paul Rundle, 74, of Anamosa, Iowa, died Saturday, June 22, 2024. The family will host a celebration of life at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Springs of Life Church, 1001 E 3rd Street, Anamosa.
Paul was born February 24, 1950, in Kansas, the son of Ray and Dorothy (Hileman) Rundle. He was united in marriage to Roxanne Pierce on June 12, 1971, at Hus Memorial Presbyterian Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Paul worked for PCI as a diesel mechanic. He attended Santa School and delighted in dressing up as Santa Claus to bring joy to all. Paul was deeply committed to both his work and family.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Roxanne Rundle of Anamosa; daughters, Tina Holub and Glenda (Heath) Vandeest, all of Anamosa; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Bev (Pat) Spatafore of New Jersey and Vicky Mathison of Cedar Rapids; in-laws, Randy (Sue) Pierce of Alburnett, Iowa, Danny (Messia) Pierce of Cedar Rapids, Chuck Pierce of Cedar Rapids, Dawn Pierce of Anamosa, and Gordon Barger of Cedar Rapids; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Dorothy Rundle; brother, Belton “Bill” Rundle; parents-in-law, Barbara and James Pierce; and in-laws, Rod, Mike, and Rhoda Pierce, and Peggy Barger.
