Pamela Vail
Pamela Vail
Liberty, MO
Pamela Leigh Vail, 30, of Kansas City, MO, passed away 7/1/24 at Liberty Hospital in Liberty, MO. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 AM on Saturday, 7/27/24, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, IA. Ms. Vail was born on Sept 25, 1993 in Cedar Rapids, IA.
Although Pamela was born with Prader-Willi Syndrome, it didn’t affect her enjoyment of life. She loved animals, the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team, roller coasters and amusement parks, and all kinds of foods. She was so genuine in her passions and her laughter was contagious. Pamela loved to play board and card games (and she always won!). When she loved something or someone, it was without abandon.
One of her passions included her work at her day program. She led a reading class every Monday, worked the register at the thrift store, and assisted in delivery of Meals on Wheels, among other things. Pamela loved helping other people.
Pamela was preceded in death by her father, Gary L. Vail, and her grandparents. Survivors include her mother, Tracy Massey Vail and sisters, Katie (Eben) Seaman and Lisa Vail, nephews Ian and Leo (Katie) Seaman, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Memorial contributions: Prader-Willi Syndrome Association.
