North Liberty Police cite businesses for selling alcohol to a minor

The North Liberty Police Department cited several local businesses after employees sold alcohol to an underage subject during business alcohol compliance checks last Friday.

A North Liberty Press release indicates that 18 businesses were checked throughout the day. Thirteen businesses passed the check without issue.

The remaining five businesses and following on-duty employees were cited for selling alcohol to a minor:

1.      Eggy's – Samantha Smith, 23.

2.      Iquanas Grill – Jimiya Poisel, 21.

3.      Café Brown Bottle – Alexandra Drehman, 26.

4.      Corridor Ventures – Tara Bolan, 21.

5.      Corridor Convenience – Calvin Rohlwing, 19.

The North Liberty Police Department will continue to conduct alcohol compliance checks on a regular schedule, the press release said.
