North Fayette's Hovden picks up 500th win

This from Bud Legg, information director for the Iowa High School Athletic Association:
"Dan Hovden of West Union became the 48th Iowa baseball coach to reach 500 career wins last night with a sweep of Postville (10-7 and 11-1). North Fayette is currently 12-4 and lifts Hovden to 500-292. He is in his 23rd year as a head coach and 18th at North, where he is currently 460-217. Coached three years at Mount Ayr, 1988-92, before coming to North Fayette."
