NHL player smashes his own goalie with stick

It happened in last night's Florida Panthers-Atlanta Thrashers NHL game in Atlanta.
Panthers defenseman Keith Ballard, who played in the USHL for Omaha, by the way, was so frustrated after a goal by Atlanta's Ilya Kovalchuk, he swung his stick at the near goal post and smashed goalie Tomas Vokoun in the side of the head instead.
Vokoun had to be taken off the ice on a stretcher and taken to a local hospital. He checked out OK physically, with the exception of a lacerated ear.
