Never forget ...

By Anita Lambert: I happened to be home from work ill the morning of 9/11. I had dropped my 12-year-old son off at school. Came home to lie on the couch and nap while watching the morning shows. WRONG! The show was interrupted by ABC news showing footage of the first plane going into one of the Twin Towers. I was glued to the TV. I no longer was thinking about my aches of the day. I e-mailed and called friends at work to tell them what was going on. I ended up being the contact person throughout the day to keep my customer service friends updated with the latest news.

Later that afternoon I remember how eerie it was when I was outside with my son and there was a lone jet stream going overhead. I later learned that had to be the president's plane since all other aircraft were grounded. It was a very somber day. A day I will never forget.
