Names released of workers hurt in Peosta explosion

Authorities released the names of three workers hurt Tuesday in an explosion at a Peosta home, but their medical conditions are unknown.
Brad Mahoney, 18, of Dyersville, Adam Conrad, 28, of Delhi, and Scott Conrad, 24, of Delhi, were injured in the explosion at16227 Bakey Ln., according to the Dubuque County Sheriff's Office. The workers remodeling the basement of the Tim and Angela Hatcher residence when something exploded, police said.
All three men were flown to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City to be treated for burns. Information about their medical conditions was not immediately available.
The home sustained some damage. A woman and three children who were inside got out without any injuries.
A firefighter at the scene was also treated for heat exhaustion.
The cause of the blast has not been determined. The state fire marshal's office is assisting with the investigation.
