MILDRED "MILLIE" FLINT

Mildred "Millie" Flint, 104, a lifelong resident of Cedar Rapids, left this world Monday June 7, 2021. Services are set for 10 a.m. Saturday June 12, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids. A visitation will be held from
4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Millie was born in Cedar Rapids on Oct. 11, 1916, the daughter of Joseph and Marie (Svoboda) Chmelicek. She married her high school sweetheart, Vernon Flint, on May 15, 1938, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.
Surviving is a daughter-in-law, Karen Flint; two grandchildren, David (Kristin) Konigsmark and Crista Konigsmark; eight great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.
Millie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vern; daughter, Jill; three sons, Steve, Jeff and Carter Flint; two granddaughters, Lori Munson and Sarah Pete; and two brothers, George and Joseph Chmelicek.
Millie was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she participated in Home Missionary and the Fellowship Club. She enjoyed playing bridge and was an active Hawkeye and Cub Fan.
In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to the Endowment Fund of Trinity Lutheran Church and School or a charity of their own choice.
