Mark William Gauger, 65, of Iowa City, passed away suddenly March 18, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.
To celebrate his life, a memorial gathering for friends and family will be held from 2 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, June 5, at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service, 605 Kirkwood Ave., Iowa City, where a time of sharing will begin at 4 p.m. In honor of Mark, red shoes are welcome but not required. The time of sharing will be live streamed so the many family members and friends can celebrate his life. The Zoom link may be found under the Tribute Wall on Mark's obituary page at www.lensingfuneral.com. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Oakland Cemetery in Iowa City. Memorial donations may be made to The Iowa City Public Library.
Mark is survived by his parents, William and Carole Gauger of Iowa City; his wife, Beth Gauger of Iowa City; two siblings, David Gauger (Ann Goodenberger) of Tacoma, Wash., and Ann Gauger of Boston, Mass.; nephews, Peter Gauger and Alex Gauger, and their wonderful families; niece, MacKenzie Gauger; and a tremendous list of treasured friends.
