Linda Kay Pochobradsky, 72, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born Oct. 3, 1948, to Charles John and Henrietta Helen Pochobradsky. Linda graduated from both Regis High School and with honors from Mount Mercy University. She was the HR manager and spent her entire 56 year career dedicated to the employees and customers at the Mount Vernon Road Hy-Vee Store location. Linda officially retired on March 31, 2021. She also co-owned and managed the Willy Woodburn restaurants with Bill from 1994 to 2017. Linda also volunteered her time with several community and charitable organizations.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Allan and Charles.
Linda is survived by Lucretia, Scott and Bill.
A private funeral Mass will be held at All Saints Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 16, at Papich-Kuba Funeral Home East, 1228 Second St. SE. Due to COVID-19 considerations, anyone attending the visitation or services is requested to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Linda's family wishes to extend heartfelt appreciation to Linda and Scott's work family at Hy-Vee for their support and thoughtfulness during this difficult time.
