Linda L. Buelow, 73, of Cedar Rapids, passed away April 28, 2021, at UnityPoint-St. Luke's Hospital. A public visitation will be from 4 to
7 p.m. Tuesday, May 4 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories Stateroom. A public service will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church in Center Point on Wednesday, May 5 at 11 a.m. with a visitation at 10 a.m.
Following the continued guidance from health officials, physical distancing must be practiced, which requires a limited number of people allowed into the visitation at one time. The use of face masks or shields is required.
Linda was born Oct. 9, 1947, in Cedar Rapids. She married the love of her life LeRoy Buelow Feb. 17, 1968, in Center Point. For many years she ran her own daycare. In her free time, she enjoyed baking, cooking, decorating cakes and catering local events. She also enjoyed singing, shopping, and camping with the Ketelsen Camping Group. She cherished the time spent with her family and friends.
Linda is survived by her husband, LeRoy of Cedar Rapids; children, Rick (Angie) Buelow of Center Point and Becky (Scott) Person of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Nicole (Tim) Neunaber of Center Point, Megan (Rohan) Bhatnagar of Center Point, Mitch (Karla) Buelow of Okinawa, Japan, Mariah Peck (Ryan Mains) of Cedar Rapids, Brittany Buelow (Jeremy Lukaszka) of Palo, Halle Person (Shane Smyth) of Cedar Rapids, Mike, Nathan and Bryon Buelow, all of Center Point; along with eight great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Corkey Buelow of Marion; sisters, Teri (Rei) Tuomala of Cedar Rapids, Helen (Jim) Yeisley of Springville and Mary (Butch) Hartgrave of Cedar Rapids; special cousin, Randie Jones of Independence; two brothers- and sisters-in-law; along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Maxine Jones; father-in-law, Albert Buelow; and brother, Walter Jones Jr.
