Kernels' 13-game win streak ends

Guess 13 is truly an unlucky number.
The Cedar Rapids Kernels saw their win streak come to an end at 13 after a 5-2 loss Friday night at Wisconsin. Quite a good two weeks for the Men of Corn, though, who come back home to host Burlington beginning Saturday night at The Popper.
The bad news is 13 wins in a row only gives Cedar Rapids a tie for first place in the Midwest League's Western Division. Peoria is just three games back for second place and the second first-half playoff spot.
The good news is the Kernels have 12 of their final 16 first-half games at home (if I counted correctly).
