On Thursday, May 27, 2021, Isaac Brown, loving son, brother, uncle and friend passed away at the age of 29. He was born Dec. 13, 1991, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to James Brown and Yeelah Knight. Ike's passion in life was helping others, a mean game of golf and animals. He was a gentle and kind man with a gentle spirit who will be missed by many.
Isaac is survived by his mother, Yeelah and her husband, Phil; his father, James, and his wife and Isaac's stepmother, Rai Ann; his sister, Kathleen (Kate); his brother, Jebril and his wife, Kelly and their two children, Phoenix and Stone; his grandparents, Constance and William Ross; his special friend, Tabitha; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Isaac was recently preceded in death by his brother, Jacob; his grandparents, Joan and Marvin "Pete"; and his cousins, Ryan and Lilo.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 5, at the Valley View Pavilion near 5925 Seminole Valley Trail NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52411.
We ask that in lieu of flowers donations be sent to 3627 Kegler Ct. SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403. A contribution will be made in Isaac's name to Joe and Dave's Kids Scholarship Foundation in honor of Ike's passion for golf.
