Iowa House drops ban on use of foam cups

With some Democrats dissenting, the Iowa House has dropped a ban on foam –Styrofoam – cups on the House floor. The ban was adopted for environmental reasons. Democrats called the action a waste of time.
House Speaker Kraig Paulsen, R-Hiawatha, pointed out that the operators of the Capitol cafeteria uses the foam cups and he's not interested in getting involved in telling them how to operate their business.
