Hawkeyes Muller, Robertson signs with Reds, Marlins

The Iowa Hawkeyes have lost their best hitter.
Outfielder Kurtis Muller signed a professional contract recently with the Cincinnati Reds. The junior was a 22nd-round draft pick of the Reds and had one season of eligibility remaining.
Muller hit .381 in 54 games for Iowa this season. He also had a team-best 30 stolen bases and walked more times (24) than he struck out (22).
He is the third Hawkeye draftee to turn pro, following pitchers
Patrick Schatz, who signed last week with the
Chicago White Sox, and
Zach Robertson, who signed with the
Kurtis Muller
