Hawkeye hatchet job or just the truth?

Had a man approach me during the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders' game Sunday afternoon and asked if I had read this column in the Sporting News by Dave Curtis. It regarded the Iowa football team, and he was clearly steamed about it.
"Why does the national media hate the Hawkeyes so much?" the man asked.
I read the column a little while ago, and it didn't think it was really a hatchet job. It wasn't nearly as incendiary as the comments ESPN fop Colin Cowherd uttered on air about Iowa last week.
All Curtis was saying was Iowa has no chance of making it to the BCS Championship Game. I think he's right.
