Hathaway, Walls eclipse 100-win plateau

Iowa City West's Jack Hathaway and Clear Creek Amana's Tyler Walls both have surpassed 100 career wins in high school.
Hathaway, ranked third at 125 pounds, reached 100 wins during the Newton Duals on Dec. 4. The Trojans junior, a two-time state medalist, is 10-1 this season and owns a 103-10 career mark.
Walls, a senior ranked ninth at 189 pounds in 2A, scored a fall over an opponent from Louisa-Muscatine in the semifinals of the Mount Vernon tournament Saturday. Walls is 8-0 with seven pins this year and has 101 career wins.
