Harrington picks track, Alabama

CEDAR FALLS -- School officials have confirmed that Cedar Falls speedster James Harrington has committed to run track at the University of Alabama.
Harrington also fielded Division-I offers in football and basketball.
He was the Drake Relays outstanding male performer in 2011 and won four state championships for the Tigers as they captured the 4A state championship last spring.
Harrington won the 100 and 200 (in a 4A-record 21.16 seconds) and anchored the winning 400 and 800 relays.
