Gunderson sweeping medalist honors

Lisbon senior Tyler Gunderson remains unbeaten through the Lions first four golf competitions.
Gunderson, a three-time state qualifier, has been impressive in his winning efforts. He hasn't carded a score higher than 3-over-par so far this season, posting a 3-over 75 Monday at Valley Oaks Golf Club in Clinton. Gunderson won the Prince of Peace Irish Invitational by six strokes.
Gunderson persevered the elements in the season opener, posting a 2-over-par 37 to win a meet at Wapsie Oaks Country Club in Calamus. His strongest performance has come at Mount Vernon's Hillcrest Country Club, Lisbon's home course.
Gunderson, who placed fifth at last year's Class 1A state meet after finishing seventh and fifth as a sophomore and freshman, respectively, carded an incredible 5-under-par 30 in a meet at Hillcrest on April 6. A week later, he shot even par
