The Cedar Rapids Police Department is investigating a robbery at a fast food restaurant.
Sgt. Cristy Hamblin said a man walked into Arby's, 1417 First Ave. SE, at 10:20 p.m. Thursday night. Hamblin said the man hit a clerk in the face and displayed a handgun. The suspect then made his way to the back of the store where he encountered a second employee.
Hamblin said the suspect and second employee got into a struggle and the suspect's handgun discharged. No one was injured in the robbery.
The suspect fled the store after the incident. Hamblin said he did not get any money in the robbery.
