Griffin L. Tauke, 9, of North Liberty, died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016, at home in his Dad's arms.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, Sept. 12, at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Coralville. Father Stephen Page will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridgewood Cemetery in North Liberty. Griffin's family will greet friends Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Lensing's Oak Hill, 210 Holiday Road, Coralville. Instead of flowers and plants, memorials may be directed to the Griffin Tauke Memorial Fund, the Bennett Tauke Education Fund or the National Save the Sea Turtle Foundation.
Griffin is survived by his parents, Scott and Kelsey Tauke of North Liberty; his brother, Bennett of North Liberty; grandparents, Jean and Gerald Tauke and Tim and Deb Brandel, all of Dubuque; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
