Grassley gets Chamber endorsement

Jun. 25, 2010 5:10 pm
Sen. Chuck Grassley, an Iowa Republican, has received the endorsement of the U.S. Chamber Of Commerce for Iowa's U.S. senate seat. Grassley has been a long-time champion of small business, which makes up 96 percent of the U.S. Chamber's membership.
In a letter to Grassley, Thomas Donahue, the chamber's president and CEO, stated: "We believe that your election to the U.S. Senate will help produce sustained economic growth and help create more jobs."
The U.S. Chamber is one of the largest advocates for free enterprise in the United States. The Chamber recognized Grassley's efforts to encourage economic growth and remove government infringements on free enterprise.
Grassley is a foe of the “Europeanization” of the U.S. economy, according to the Chamber. He understands the need to keep federal taxes at a level that allows America's entrepreneurs and ingenuity to thrive.
