Warriors topple Cedar Falls
Alissa Oney and Camille Marie-Lidd scored 17 points apiece and Cedar Rapids Washington defeated Cedar Falls, 54-42, last night in a girls' basketball game in Cedar Rapids.
The game won't count as a Mississippi Valley Conference game. Washington (9-5) had already defeated Cedar Falls, 51-41, in a league game.
Laura Johnson scored 16 points for Cedar Falls (4-9), and Courtney Dreyer connected on four three pointers for 12 points.
IOWA CITY HIGH 55, WATERLOO WEST 51 - The Little Hawks avoided the upset bid and held off a late run to escape Siddens Gymnasium with the victory.
Majesty Tutson scored 14 and Virginia Johnson added 12 points for Class 4A No. 8 City High (10-3, 7-3 Mississippi Valley Conference). The Little Hawks' Brittany Opheim hit two 3-point goals and scored eight points.
Jadyn Spencer scored a game-high 16 points for Waterloo West (6-6, 2-6 MVC).

IOWA CITY WEST 56, BETTENDORF 52 (OT) - Kelsey Dolder made the second of two free throws with one second left to send the game into overtime, and Iowa City West used an 8-4 overtime period to pull out the win at Bettendorf.
Emma Krieger-Kittle scored 20 points, and Courtney Fritz and Maddie Sadecky each added 11 points for the Women of Troy (9-5).
C.R. KENNEDY 73, CLINTON 35 - Kristen Hahn and Laura Boenish each scored 16 points for Cedar Rapids Kennedy at Clinton.
Jade Rogers added 13 points for the Cougars (9-3).
C.R. JEFFERSON 54, DAVENPORT CENTERAL 39 - Katelyn Jourdan scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Cedar Rapids Jefferson at home.
Britteny Steffeny and Amanda Burger each added 14 points for the J-Hawks (8-5).
MOUNT VERNON 63, DYERSVILLE BECKMAN 25 - Maddie Keleher scored 13 points for host Mount Vernon.
Liz Skotowski and Amanda Platte each added nine points for the Mustangs (10-3).
EDGEWOOD-COLESBURG 54, ALBURNETT 33 - Sam Rolfes scored a game-high 27 points - 20 in the second half - as Edgewood-Colesburg posted a Tri-Rivers Conference win at Colesburg.
Eileen Putz scored nine and Nikki Niehaus eight for the Vikings (7-7, 5-5 TRC).
Cortney Wood and Alyssa Neighbor each scored six to lead the Pirates (5-10, 2-8 TRC).
SPRINGVILLE 59, CENTRAL CITY 17 - Class 1A top-ranked Springville held Central City scoreless in the third quarter en route to a Tri-Rivers Conference win at home.
Katie Eiben had a 19-point, 11-rebound double-double for the Orioles (13-0, 10-0 TRC), who led 40-13 at halftime. Springville has won 26 straight games.
Danielle Schlotterbeck scored 12 points to lead the Wildcats (2-9, 1-10 TRC).
NORTH LINN 55, EAST BUCHANAN 36 - Shannon Waring scored 19 points to lead North Linn at Troy Mills.
Shelbie Beatty scored 16 points for East Buchanan.
CEDAR VALLEY CHRISTIAN 50, QUAD CITIES CHRISTIAN 32 - Kaity Herb had a 10-point, 10-rebound double-double to lead Cedar Valley Christian at home.
Ellen Rodrituez added 10 points for the Huskies (3-7, 2-5 Northern Illinois Christian Conference).
IOWA CITY REGINA 55, MID-PRAIRIE 48 - Iowa City Regina traveled to Wellman for the Cedar Valley Conference matchup. Ali Browning led the way for the Regals with 17 points. Shannon Donahue added 16 while hitting four 3-point field goals.
Mid-Prairie's Jodee Seward scored 17 and Missy Herschberger had 16 for the Golden Hawks.
NORTH LINN 55, EAST BUCHANAN 36 - Shannon Waring scored 19 points and Miranda Peyton added 18 for North Linn in a Tri-Rivers Conference game in Troy Mills.
Shelbie Beatty scored 16 points to lead the Buccaneers.
CENTER POINT-URBANA 41, INDEPENDENCE 35 - Madie Wilkin scored 13 points - 12 of them in the second half - for Center Point-Urbana in a Wamac West Division game at Independence.
Kara Christensen scored 10 points to pace the Mustangs.
WESTERN DUBUQUE 52, SOLON 47 - Amber Pitz led all scorers with 17 points for Western Dubuque in a Wamac East game at Solon.
