A former Waterloo high school football coach has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor marijuana charge and received probation.
The former coach, 32-year-old Antonio Nathaniel Mays, was put on 1 year of self probation and ordered to pay a $315 fine and $225 in court costs and surcharges. Mays resigned from his position as head football coach for Waterloo East High School in January after his arrest for misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
Mays was to have a court hearing in the case on Monday, but it was canceled after his March 10 guilty plea.
