Dyersville plant laying off 30 workers

A Dyersville plant that makes movable walls will be laying off 30 employees indefinitely as it eliminates a second shift.
Modernfold Inc. is consolidating its manufacturing operations into a single shift, according to Plant Manager Al Hartman.
Greenfield, Ind.-based Modernfold employed 340 - including 227 in Dyersville - in March 2002 when it was purchased by The DORMA Group of Ennepetal, Germany. The Dyersville plant expanded in the mid-1990s, adding about 35 employees.
